Eccentric millionaire John Hammond has invited three dinosaur experts see his new amusement park before it opens. As it turns out, the park is populated by actual, living dinosaurs that Hammond has created using DNA harvested from pre-historic insects. The scientists, joined by Hammond’s two grandchildren, are enjoying their tour until a storm knocks out power on the island. When an employee tries to take advantage of the situation, he inadvertently unleashes the gigantic beasts, forcing the humans on the island to flee for their lives.
