By day, White Dante is a loan advisor for a mortgage company. It’s about as cool as it sounds. But by night, he’s one of the dopest poets around. Hailing from glamorous Evansville, Indiana, Dante moved to Indy to attend Marian University, where he competed on their nationally ranked Speech and Debate Team. That’s also where Dante discovered spoken word- and he’s been glued to Indy’s poetry scene ever since. Over the past eight years, he’s featured all over town and MC’d the Iconoclast Open Mic in Irvington. Last year, he published his first ever chap book, Bootleg. Competitively speaking, Dante represented the Indianapolis slam poetry team at the Southern Fried Poetry Slam in 2019. A few years and a whole pandemic later, he won the qualifying slam to represent his city again in June.

Korie Griggs is a writer who believes words are to be cherished and never wasted. She facilitates healing through the vulnerable storytelling of her life through poetry. She invites you to be part of her story while challenging you to reflect upon your own. Korie is a writer who consistently learns who she is while journeying through grief. She cherishes her deep ancestral roots and allows them to guide her through all of the brutalities and blessings that life offers. Korie is a nationally published writer and a Midwestern zine curator and publisher. As an Indiana native, she enjoys creating close to home or in the presence of wide-open nature experiences. Life has been her greatest teacher, and words have been her dearest friend. She hopes that you find safety and healing within her writing.
