ABOUT THE MOVIE:

At Vince Lombardi High School in Southern California, good looking star quarterback Tom Roberts can't understand why girls don't seem interested in him. He doesn't know in his unawareness that it's because he is socially awkward i.e. he's boring. Tom turns to the school's "fixer" Eaglebauer to help him get the girl of his dreams, Riff Randell, Tom further unaware that Riff's best friend, proverbial good girl Kate Rambeau, is interested in him herself. Besides not being interested in Tom in his awkwardness, Riff, the school's unofficial DJ, is too focused on trying to get tickets to the upcoming Ramones concert in being what she considers the biggest Ramones fan in the world. She not only wants to get tickets, but to speak to them to show them the song she wrote and thinks would be perfect for them to perform. Riff is seen as the primary disruptor at the school by the administration, the school having gone through a series of short term principals who need to quit the result of nervous breakdowns in dealing with the anarchy caused by Riff and the other students. The latest just hired principal, Miss Togar, is determined to quash what she sees as the source of the problem, rock 'n' roll music, the Ramones only the face of her opposition.—Huggo
