Frankie's Flicks & The White Rabbit present

Dazed and Confused

Wednesday, April 20

Alright, Alright, Alright!

On 4/20 and you'd be a lot cooler if you made your way down to The Rabbit to join Frankie JJ Holliday Jr. for a special presentation of this Richard Linklater classic.

Doors 8pm, Flick 9pm, Only $5

Like George Lucas' American Graffiti, Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused is an affectionate look at the youth culture of a bygone era. While Lucas took aim at the conservative 1950's, Linklater jumps ahead a generation to the bicentennial year of 1976 to celebrate the joys of beer blasts, pot smoking and Frampton Comes Alive. Set on the last day of the academic year, the film follows the random activities of a sprawling group of Texas high schoolers as they celebrate the arrival of summer, their paths variously intersecting at a freshmen hazing, a local pool parlor and finally at a keg party.

This show will also be the first stop of the Shredded Meat Tour 2016 (coming all the way from Seattle) starring Seraphina Fiero and returning home to the Hoosier state, Iva Handfull!

Seraphina Fiero is "The Tyler Durden of Burlesque". She is smart, capable, and most importantly, free in all the ways most are not.

A chimera of hyper-feminine physicality, irreverent elegance, and pure ferocity. Seraphina continues to push the boundaries of burlesque performance art with a versatile skillset and creative style all her own.

She is a professional Burlesque Performer, Bellydancer, Fine Artist, Alternative Model, and Hellraiser. She is one half of IvaFiero Production bringing you Relentless entertainment since 2012. Seraphina's Mayhem is also 1/5 of the troupe known as Stripped Screw Burlesque: Seattle's Dangerous Dames. Raw and gritty, the Screws offer a modern take on Burlesque for audience members who prefer a lawless agenda.

While Seraphina has no specific style, she has a flair for the unconventional, unexpected, and dark. She is full of ecstasy and anarchy . . . . and never offers any apologies.

Iva Handfull is a modern heathen in the Burlesque world, both a fashion Icon and rock & roll burlesque star, Mz. Handfull is a fierce, alternative Neo-Burlesquer known for her inventive, epic, and oftentimes impersonating performances.

Crowned the 2013 Kansas City Burlesque Festival Queen, she has had the pleasure of performing across the United States, including The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas,Tease-O-Rama in San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, and St Louis.

Shes also co-owner of Haute Under the Collar, creating custom rhinestone neckties, so you too can be well hung!

Haute Under the Collar will be vending at the event!

There will be 3 levels of presale tickets to choose from!

Hand That Feeds (Super VIP level) This will be a special on stage seating area that will include a goody bag from Pepper. There will only be 8 tickets available at this level that will be seated around two 4-top tables. By purchasing these tickets the buyer agrees to act accordingly and respectfully, not disturb the flow of the show and will remain seated and behind the table barrier the entire event. The buyer also agrees to follow all requests of the WRC staff, the stage manager and producer. Failure to comply with these restrictions, will forfeit the seat and you will be asked to leave. No refunds will be issued.

Closer (guaranteed seating) The ticket holder will be guaranteed a seat that is reserved and placed by Pepper and the Grind staff. Please note if you are buying as part of a group. Group reservations bought as separate seats will not be guaranteed to sit together (but we will try our hardest). Please consider buying as a one time order to guarantee that your group will be together. This level must arrive by show start or your seating will be forfeited. No refunds will be issued.

Head Like A Hole (guaranteed inside the door) The ticket holder will be guaranteed inside of the door at the event. This ticket level DOES NOT guarantee the ticket holder a seat. Please arrive early to the venue. Seating is first come, first served. No refunds will be issued.

There will be a block of tickets available at the door that are first come, first served. Please also note that seating is first come, first served. Once seating is full, the show will go to standing room only.

Cabaret for a Cure (Live Musical Event benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society)

Join us for an amazing evening of song and celebration at the White Rabbit Cabaret as we raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and Eddie Rangel's campaign toward earning the title of Man of the Year. Some of Indy's finest will be taking the stage to share their stories and songs of hope and joy: Tim Hunt, Rashida Bonds, Brenda Williams, Steven Stolen, Matt Siregar, and Todd Hawks on the keys. All proceeds from the evening will benefit LLS and Eddie's campaign.

The doors will open at 6:30pm for guests to begin the evening with libations from the White Rabbit Cabaret's bar (cash or card). The White Rabbit offers wine, a huge selection of beer, and liquor. There is a $20 cover that will help support the LLS.

THE REASON

Although someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 3 minutes, there is great hope for the future. LLS is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improving the quality of life of patients and their families. This is done through research, patient aid, education and advocacy with the funds raised by generous supporters.

CAMPAIGN 2016

Each year, in communities across the country, dynamic and passionate candidates engage in a spirited 10-week fundraising competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 'Man & Woman of the Year' titles by raising funds for blood cancer research. The exciting 2016 campaign began with a lively Kickoff Celebration on March 3rd at Chef Joseph's at the Connoisseur Room and culminates with a celebration of everyone's efforts at the Grand Finale Gala on Saturday, May 14th at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtowns with dinner, cocktails, and fabulous silent and live auctions.

THE HONOREES

All candidates raise funds in honor of our Boy & Girl of the Year, as well as their own personal connection to blood cancers. The 2016 Boy & Girl of the Year are Luke Canterbury and Grace Gumino.

OUR MAN OF THE YEAR-EDDIE RANGEL

Throughout the course of this school year, I have had the privilege to call Eddie a colleauge and dear friend as he has worked by my side as Assistant Principal at Tindley Genesis Academy. To learn more about Eddie's connection to this amazing cause and to hear more about his journey toward's earning the title of Man of the Year, visit his blog at http://www.mwoy.org/pages/in/indy16/erangel

Starting in 2013, FSMF began as a passion project of collected Fountain Square residents who were hungry to celebrate local music and art. Now, FSMF has become an integral part of the neighborhood’s continued evolution and development as a live entertainment destination. What started as a one-day music festival with equal focus placed on promoting and contributing to the surrounding Fountain Square community, the festival has now grown exponentially in each of its 4 years. In 2015, FSMF expanded to a four-day event for the first time. In the days that led up to the July 4th all-day main event, FSMF featured free music on the Fountain Plaza, followed by evening concerts at four fantastic Fountain Square music venues: White Rabbit Cabaret, Radio Radio, The Hi-Fi, and Joyful Noise Recordings.

Fountain Square Music Festival 2016 Dates: March 25 and 26

Each evening, FSMF will host a series of concerts in various Fountain Square venues:

  • The Hi-Fi
  • Radio Radio
  • White Rabbit Cabaret
  • Pioneer
  • *Fountain Square Theatre (Main Stage)

Each venue will have its own specifically curated stage with local and regional support. Attendees are able to purchase wristbands allowing them to access all venues. Each evening, the venues will provide music from 7-10:30pm. After 10:30, the more intimate venues will close, and the FSMF headline performance at Main Stage begins.

The Easthills are based in rural Indiana. The band recently released “Mothers & Fools”, the first single from their 2016 full-length sophomore album. The song features guitarist Doug Gillard (of Nada Surf and formerly of Guided By Voices; among others). The Easthills are rounding out 2015 recording the 2016 follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2013 debut full-length album “Death of a Salesman” and the 2014 EP “World Class Prick”. Once again, producer Doug Henthorn (Healing Sixes, Jason Bonham, Joe Bonamassa) is at the helm. The new album promises another dose of indie pop rock meets classic rock, special guest appearances (including Gillard on six songs) and a new sense of urgency for a band ready for the next chapter.

Since the inception of The Easthills they have played multiple Midwest shows with REO Speedwagon, Fastball, Georgia Satellites and Here Come the Mummies while also serving as support for Cheap Trick, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Tesla, Ian McLagan (Faces), The Romantics, Cracker and Blues Traveler. The band has also appeared on several noteworthy music festivals playing alongside the likes of Weezer, Roky Erikson, Guided By Voices, Meat Puppets, Chris Robinson and many more. The Easthills have also played two of their own headline shows in Indianapolis; selling out both.

Frankie JJ Holliday Jr. dug deep and is dusting off this hidden gem. Come spend the night with Frankie. Starring Kirstie Alley, Ellen Barkin, and Kirsten Dunst.

"The battle between the good and the bad is bound to get ugly."

In a small Minnesota town, the annual beauty pageant is being covered by a TV crew. Former winner Gladys Leeman wants to make sure her daughter follows in her footsteps. Explosions, falling lights, and trailer fires prove that. As the Leemans are the richest family in town the police are pretty relaxed about it all. Despite everything, main rival (but nice) Amber Atkins won't be stopped. There could well be more death and disappointment to come.
